What The Village Map does
The Village Map helps you find and support Black-owned businesses near you. When you search for something the map doesn't have yet, we log that quietly and anonymously — so a neighborhood's unmet demand becomes real evidence a business owner or lender can act on. You're not hitting a dead end; you're helping build what's missing.
Common questions
How do I report a listing that's wrong or inappropriate?
Open the business, tap Report this listing, and choose a reason — permanently closed, wrong information, not Black-owned, or inappropriate content. Your report reaches us within seconds and we act on it quickly.
How do I add a business?
Use the add-a-business option in the app. Every submission is reviewed by a person before it appears publicly, so nothing goes live automatically.
Do I need an account?
No. The Village Map has no accounts and no passwords. You can browse, search, and add businesses without signing up for anything.
How do I stop getting notification emails?
Every email includes a way to opt out, or you can email us at the address above and we'll remove your address right away.
How do I delete my email address from the app?
Email hello@villagemap.app and ask us to remove it. We'll take care of it.
What do you collect about me?
